Nicole Wood is a copywriter specializing in promotional
materials for marketers of products, services, and publications helping
people improve their appearance and boost self-esteem, find their perfect
mate, or strengthen their relationships.
It is no coincidence that Nicole would excel in
this area of marketing as it combines her two lifelong passions—writing
and the psychology of self-esteem and interpersonal relationships.
Nicole’s education speaks to both of her passions:
She holds a master’s degree in psychology with an emphasis on
interpersonal relationships and has completed numerous courses through
the American Writers and Artists Institute, the world’s leading
copywriting institution. Additionally, she is a Certified Professional
Résumé Writer (CPRW) and member of the Professional Association
of Résumé Writers (PARW).
Her professional experience includes penning a nationally published
advice column where she provided witty and insightful advice on the
subjects of dating, relationships, fashion, and grooming in addition
to authoring numerous articles for magazines and the Web. In the last
few years, however, she has focused her attentionexclusively on copywriting—her
client list includes Beautologie by Dr. Shah, PracticeHelpers,
Cosmetic Surgery of Philadelphia, 360practice.com,
Lexus, FaithMate.com, better-advice.com,
Aloe Crème Laboratories (CureDerma & AloSun lines),
Planet Lulu clothing, Art of Touch Massage
Studio, Grand Avenue Public Relations, and
Blackstone Capital to name just a few.
Through her varied experience, Nicole has been able to
develop the unique ability to not only write convincing copy, but to
literally “get inside the head” of the prospect to determine
their deepest motivations and emotional desires. Writing, among others,
for marketers of beauty, self-image, and relationship enhancing tools,
Nicole has had the opportunity to serviceably blend her two passions,
effectively helping clients increase profits by generating leads and
boosting sales.
Her psychological and interpersonal training has also benefited her
own personal and professional relationships. Nicole’s clients
continue to recommend her because of her warm, accommodating, and flexible
nature. Nicole believes that writing effective copy is only half of
a profitable business partnering: The other half is the ability to facilitate
an amiable and stress-free working relationship. It has been said that
one of her greatest strengths is that, while she excels at offering
insightful suggestions, Nicole respects the client’s ultimate
creative control. This allows her to approach each project from a client-centered
point of view, leaving personal ego behind.
Originally from a suburb of Michigan, Nicole has
resided in Los Angeles for the last ten years. Here, she currently lives
with her husband, a professional artist, and their two “children”:
Burroughs, a three-year-old chocolate Labrador, and Toulouse, a year-old
Boston Terrier.
