My name is Nicole Wood, and I am a copywriter and expert in crafting promotions for the health/medical, beauty, and retail industries–among other types of highly effective marketing materials.

While I have created copy for the dating and relationship industry, real estate, entertainment, education, hospitality, and other arenas, I have honed an expertise in the health/medical, beauty, and fashion sectors.

During the last five years, I have built a client base–and comprehensive portfolio–working with local businesses and global giants alike: Stila Cosmetics, Jane Cosmetics, Bebe, Spiegel, Newport News, Adidas, Toyota (Lexus), Pfizer, Shield Healthcare, AloSun and CureDerma skincare lines, various cosmetic surgery and medical practices, and Healthy Advice Networks, an award-winning producer of health-education materials distributed by over 45,000 physicians per year.

How am I unique?

Like few copywriters, I’ve devoted years of study to the inner workings of the human mind. With a master’s degree in psychology and a nationally published advice column to my credit, I know and understand the target market from a psychological need- and desire-oriented perspective.

This enables me to literally “get inside the heads” of those striving to improve their appearance, boost self-esteem, or put their trust in a medical professional or organization.

Another differentiating element is my ability to create copy that is as technically superior as it is imaginative. By this, I mean, yes, creativity is at the core; but without a well-organized blueprint of benefits and a well-focused message, all you have is haphazard cleverness.

By consistently delivering grammatically sound content that supports brand, voice, and strategic positioning, I help clients drive sales and gain greater market share.

Finally, I believe an accommodating nature is an important component of any client relationship: Displaying genuine enthusiasm, accepting direction with ease–and keeping notes on client preferences, and taking responsibility for the often-overlooked details make working relationships both effective and enjoyable.

In other words, my objective is not only that each promotional piece performs above expectation; my goal is to make each client’s workload feel a little lighter.
